Alex has performed at every type of event from 18th birthday parties in the back garden of a house to celebrations for over a 1000 people at the Dorchester Hotel in London for Peers of the Realm. MINI MONTY
Walkabout mindreading during the photos and canapés. This is probably the most popular time to use Alex as he entertains the guests during the often prolonged photo period, ensuring that boredom is kept at bay and that everyone has a great time.
Alex will perform short sets of mind boggling routines revealing the names of friend and relatives, challenging people to lie undetected (they never can), telling people what they are thinking at any given moment and much more. Fast paced and guaranteed to get the room buzzing, this is perfect for pre-dinner drinks, weddings, parties and networking events.
HALF MONTY
After Dinner Show.
The show is 45 minutes long with loads of audience participation and is great fun with many “wow” moments, including a routine especially constructed for the Bride and Groom. During the show Alex reveals thought of words, duplicates unseen drawings, makes a couple of incredible predictions which come true and at one part, one of the guests actually performs some mindreading on the audience! One of the highlights is where Alex gets a woman on stage who has children and tells her the name of her child and the time it was born. At that point she looks at his watch which she has been holding and sees that it says the same time!

3/4 MONTY
Walkabout Mindreading during canapés and photos plus After Dinner Show. Here the guests get to see two different styles of mindreading – the informal walkabout style, performing short sets to small groups with the hilarious and mind-blowing stage show.
FULL MONTY

When Alex has finished his show there is invariably a queue of people wanting to ask questions and perhaps see if they can outwit him. With the Close-up encounters Alex will join the guests at the bar and around the tables for the rest of the evening, answering questions and performing more amazing mindreading in a more intimate setting. He may even perform some “weird stuff”, making objects move of their own accord and more!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
"What's the difference between magic and mindreading?"
The main difference for me is that magic is doing clever stuff with things (cards, coins etc) whereas mindreading is doing clever stuff with people's minds. Because of this mindreading is seen as being more believable and "real" and is more hard hitting. Certainly it is more unusual and creates a great "buzz" at any event"
"Is it suitable for kids?"
“Although I don't perform any "adult" style material and the shows are suitable for all ages, the type of entertainemnt that I do is really most suited to an adult audience, although I have performed at teenager birthay parties with great success"
"Is mindreading a good option for wedding entertainment?"
“Mindreading works really well for weddings! Because it is fairly unusal, very few of the guests will have seen it before, so it creates a feeling or intrigue and curiosity that magic won't. Often when approaching people at a wedding or a party I will be met with someone saying "Oh I don't like magic!" When I explain that I am not a magician but a mindreader they can't wait to have a go!”
"What is the best option for entertainment at a party?"
“Walkabout mindreading and "weird stuff" is a great option for a party where everyone is standing around chatting and drinking - it creates a nice "buzz" and provides a great talking point. For a more formal dinner party, the after dinner show is a great option , where everyone gets to see a 45 minute show (normally during coffee) which provides a fitting finale to the dinner"
